Micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in building economic resilience and generating jobs at the grassroots level. MSMEs account for around 99% of establishments and over 93% of employment in the OIC region.

The meeting highlighted the importance of active engagement within the newly launched OIC-SMENET and explored joint initiatives on SME digitalization and inclusive growth.

SESRIC expressed interest in leveraging Malaysia's expertise to promote sustainable MSME growth across the member countries.
