SESRIC and the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) of Malaysia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 8 July 2025 at the NIOSH Headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Through this MoU, SESRIC and NIOSH intend to strengthen their cooperation in capacity-building programmes, knowledge sharing, and technical expertise in OSH. During the signing ceremony, Dato' Haji Ayop BIN SALLEH, Executive Director of NIOSH Malaysia, expressed his appreciation for the cooperation with SESRIC, highlighting NIOSH’s ongoing efforts to promote a culture of safety and health in the workplace.

The National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) is Malaysia’s leading training and research institution in the field of OSH. Operating under the Ministry of Human Resources of Malaysia, NIOSH plays a significant role in promoting workplace safety, providing accredited training programmes, conducting OSH-related research, and supporting national policy development to ensure a safe and healthy workforce across the country.

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment by both institutions to advance OSH in OIC Member Countries through joint projects, research activities, expert exchange, and policy dialogue, ultimately contributing to safer and more resilient workplaces.
