Date: 09-11 September 2025
Venue: Abu Dhabi - United Arab Emirates

The Arab Monetary Fund (AMF) and the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), in collaboration with SESRIC, the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD), the Arab Institute for Training and Research in Statistics (AITRS), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the League of Arab States (LAS), will organise a Regional Workshop on “Implementing 2025 SNA and Compiling Digital Supply and Use Tables” on 9-11 September 2025 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The 2025 System of National Accounts (SNA), an update of the 2008 SNA, was adopted by the 56th session of the United Nations Statistical Commission in March 2025 as the updated international statistical standard for national accounts statistics used for measuring the economic activity of a country.

The workshop aims to increase understanding of the main features and policy relevance of the 2025 SNA, including sustainability, Islamic finance, and new developments in globalization and digitalization statistics, especially in the digital economy statistics.
