Within the framework of its Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC will organise a Training Course on “Environment Statistics” for the benefit of National Statistical Offices (NSOs) of the Arabic-speaking OIC countries on 29-30 April 2025 through an online video conferencing platform.

Dr. Mostafa SALAH and Ms. Yasmin YASSIN, Environmental Statisticians at the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) of Egypt, will conduct the training course.

The training course will cover the following topics:

• Introduction to Environment Statistics
• Environmental Data and Indicators
• Data Sources of Environmental Statistics
• Classification of Indicators Related to Environment Statistics
• The Need for a Framework for Developing Environmental Statistics
• Egypt's Experience in Implementing the Framework for the Development of Environmental Statistics
