Venue: Virtual- Singapore

SESRIC participated in the Workshop on the Development of the ASEAN-OSHNET Work Plan 2026-2030, held on 24 March 2025. The workshop brought together key stakeholders to shape the future of occupational safety and health (OSH) collaboration within the ASEAN region and beyond.

During the session on “Cooperation of ASEAN-OSHNET with External Parties,” representatives from the International Labour Organisation (ILO), International Association of Labour Inspection (IALI), Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA), International Social Security Association (ISSA) and SESRIC engaged in discussions on strengthening global partnerships in OSH.

Mrs. Alia Sharify Ortaq, Project Officer at the Training and Technical Cooperation Department of SESRIC, provided an overview of SESRIC’s initiatives in OSH. She informed participants about the OIC Occupational Safety and Health Network (OIC-OSHNET), which SESRIC leads to enhance intra-OIC cooperation on OSH-related matters.

Additionally, SESRIC contributed to the ASEAN-OSHNET Work Plan 2026-2030 by proposing activities to be implemented within the framework of OIC-OSHNET in the coming years. These initiatives aim to promote knowledge sharing, strengthen institutional capacities, and enhance OSH practices among OIC and ASEAN member states.

ASEAN-OSHNET, a regional network, has its origins in the ILO Programme for the Improvement of Working Conditions and Environment (PIACT), initiated in 1976. The network is committed to the collection and dissemination of vital information within the ASEAN Member States, as well as managing research and training activities aimed at improving the working environment and conditions.
