H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Dr. Tasnim ATATRAH, WHO Representative and Head of the Türkiye Country Office. The meeting aimed to enhance collaboration of both institutions in key public health areas by exploring avenues for strengthening cooperation in common member countries of the OIC and WHO.

The discussions focused on public health challenges, including tobacco and drug use, digital addiction, and efforts on vaccine manufacturing in OIC countries. Additionally, the meeting provided an opportunity to evaluate strategies for promoting maternal and newborn health, implementing targeted outreach programs, and enhancing capacity-building efforts. Both sides underscored the significance of data-driven policy development in addressing these issues effectively.

The meeting concluded with SESRIC and WHO’s commitment to working together to contribute to the healthcare outcomes in their mutual member countries.
