Training Course on ‘Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)’

Within the framework of the OIC Occupational Safety and Health Network (OIC-OSHNET) and Occupational Safety and Health Capacity Building Programme (OSH-CaB), SESRIC, in collaboration with the Directorate General of Occupational Safety and Health (DGOSH) under the Ministry of Labour and Social Security of Türkiye organised a training course on “Personal Protective Equipment” on 10 December 2024 through an online video conference platform.

The training course was provided by competent experts from the DGOSH of Türkiye for the benefit of 70 participants from 28 OIC countries.

The training course aimed to enhance the knowledge and technical capacity of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) professionals from OIC member countries in categorising and using personal protective equipment (PPE). It also provided participants with insights into related regulations and safety standards, promoting effective implementation of safety practices while raising awareness of innovations and emerging trends in PPE.

The training course covered various topics, including:

  • Law No. 7223 on Product Safety and Technical Regulations
  • Personal Protective Equipment Directive (Regulation on Personal Protective Equipment 2016/425 (EU))
  • Market Surveillance of PPE
