Within the framework of the OIC Public Employment Service Network (OIC-PESNET) Work Plan 2024-2026 and the Public Employment Services Capacity Building Programme (PES- CaB), SESRIC, in collaboration with the Public Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan, organised a Webinar on “Enhancing Vocational Training through Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs): Best Practices and Strategies” on 4 December 2024.

The webinar featured distinguished speakers from the Public Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Centre for Employment Policy Department under the Ministry of Manpower of Indonesia, the Social Security Organisation (PERKESO) of Malaysia, and the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR).

The webinar was attended by 83 experts and executives from the National Public Employment Agencies and relevant national institutions in 31 OIC countries.

The objective of this webinar was to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of how Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) can enhance vocational training systems. It also focused on sharing best practices and strategies for successful PPP models in vocational training, including how to establish and manage effective partnerships between public and private entities in order to improve the quality, relevance, and accessibility of vocational education and training programmes.
