SESRIC, in collaboration with the International Islamic University Malaysia, will organise an online Webinar on “Post-Crisis Environmental Recovery Measures” on 12 December 2024, as part of its Environment Capacity Building Programme (Environment-CaB), and Disaster Risk Management Capacity Building Programme (DRM-CaB).

The webinar aims to strengthen the knowledge and skills of environmental experts in OIC countries, to develop and implement effective post-crisis recovery measures. Furthermore, the activity aim to foster knowledge and expertise exchange to enhance environment protection among relevant national institutions of member countries and identify challenges of post-crisis sustainable development.

The Webinar will cover the following topics:

• Overview of Post-Crisis Environmental Recovery;
• Strategies and policies for Sustainable post-crisis Actions;
• Building Back Better and Greener on global scale;
• Financing Post-Crisis Recovery, and
• Case Studies and Best Practices from OIC Member Countries.

The Environment Capacity Building Programme (Environment-CaB) was developed by SESRIC in 2014 to promote sustainable production and consumption patterns and to protect and preserve the environment in the OIC Countries. Within this framework, the Centre organises capacity-building activities for the benefit of the staff of the Ministries of Environment, Ministries of Energy, and other relevant national institutions in the member countries by using various modalities such as training courses, workshops, and study visits.
