On the sidelines of the Doha Data Forum, H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held a bilateral meeting with His Excellency Abdulaziz bin Nasser bin Mubarak AL KHALIFA, Secretary General of the National Planning Council (NPC) of Qatar. The meeting focused on facilitating collaboration between SESRIC and the NPC in key areas of mutual interest, with emphasis on advancing cooperation in statistics, socio-economic research and capacity building programmes aimed at fostering sustainable development in OIC member countries.

H.E. SELÇUK underlined SESRIC's engagement in the provision of technical expertise and facilitation of knowledge sharing and advancing sustainable development through informed decision-making across the OIC community, while H.E. AL KHALIFA highlighted Qatar's efforts in building statistical capacity to support national and regional development programmes and their essential role of reliable statistical data in evidence-based policy-making and in promoting socio-economic progress.

The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement to work on possible opportunities for further collaboration, aimed at strengthening data-driven initiatives that will contribute to the overall socio-economic development of the OIC region.
