SESRIC and the Department of Statistics (DoS) of Jordan formalized their longstanding partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 16 October 2024. The signing ceremony took place at the Headquarters of SESRIC in Ankara, Türkiye, on the sidelines of the 13th Session of the OIC Statistical Commission (OIC-StatCom).

The MoU establishes a framework for cooperation between SESRIC and DoS of Jordan, aiming to foster joint efforts in developing and strengthening statistical capacities. The MoU identifies several areas of collaboration, including the exchange of statistical knowledge and expertise, joint participation in international symposia and conferences, and the facilitation of capacity-building programs tailored to the needs of national statistical systems.

The MoU also highlights the importance of ongoing consultation and exchange of information between SESRIC and DoS of Jordan to ensure the success of their joint activities. Both parties will regularly review their progress and explore additional areas of cooperation that align with their shared goals.
