SESRIC and Statistical Centre for the Cooperation Council of the Arab Countries of the Gulf (GCC-STAT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) enhance their efforts in strengthening national statistical systems of the common member countries. The ceremony took place at the Headquarters of SESRIC in Ankara, Türkiye during the 13^th Session of the OIC Statistical Commission (OIC-StatCom).

The MoU aims to foster cooperation in the field of official statistics among common member countries (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE) through improving data production and dissemination, strengthening national statistical systems, developing human resources in NSOs, promoting best practices, and raising awareness about the importance of official statistics.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to advancing statistical development, supporting evidence-based policymaking, and contributing to sustainable development across the region.
