SESRIC and the Ministry of Finance of the State of Kuwait held a virtual coordination meeting to discuss potential areas of cooperation between the two institutions.

SESRIC provided an overview of its work, including its capacity-building programmes and publications. In response, the representatives of the Ministry of Finance of the State of Kuwait expressed their interest in enhancing cooperation with SESRIC, stressing their eagerness to benefit from and contribute to SESRIC’s capacity-building programmes. They also provided a brief introduction to the Ministry's areas of work including finance, assets, and fiscal operations.

The Ministry of Finance of the State of Kuwait is one of the ministerial bodies of the State's administrative apparatus, entrusted with the executive general management of public financial affairs in Kuwait. It oversees the public treasury, state property (public and private), and areas of international economic cooperation, monetary investment, and compensation deal projects. It also provides important services for public hospitality, housing for state employees, integrated financial systems services, public storage and purchasing systems, and other automated development systems supporting all financial sectors across state agencies.
