SESRIC Participates in the Collaborative Surveillance Working Group Meeting

SESRIC participated in the second meeting of the Collaborative Surveillance Working Group for the Pan-European Network for Disease Control (NDC), which was organised virtually by the NDC Secretariat of the World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe on 29 August 2024.

The meeting aimed to provide updates to the Working Group on the developments of the activities, gather additional input for the development of the operational framework and discuss the next steps for the upcoming collaborative surveillance working group meeting scheduled for 26 - 27 September 2024 in Berlin.

During the meeting, the Working Group presented the draft outline of the operational framework and collected feedback and contributions from its members. In addition, members shared examples of best practices in collaborative surveillance from their respective countries. The meeting also addressed the ongoing Mpox outbreak and explored ways to incorporate Mpox-related activities into the Working Group's agenda. The meeting concluded with updates on preparations for the upcoming meeting of the Working Group.
