SESRIC and the Department of Youth and Sports at the OIC General Secretariat held a virtual coordination meeting as part of the preparation of a Training Session on “Integrating OIC Youth Strategy into the National Programmes in OIC Member Countries”. The training session, which will be conducted in collaboration with OIC General Secretariat, SESRIC, and other relevant OIC institutions, aims to provide a deeper understanding and awareness of OIC policies and goals related to youth, especially the OIC Youth Strategy and the OIC-2025 Programme of Action.

The meeting also focused on the organisational aspects to ensure successful implementation of the joint initiatives on youth development and empowerment.

The OIC Youth Strategy is a framework designed to address the needs and challenges faced by young people within the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries. It aims to empower youth through education, employment, social inclusion, and to facilitate their participation in decision-making processes at local, national, and regional levels.
