SESRIC participated in the Kick-off meeting for the Collaborative Surveillance Working Group for the Pan-European Network for Disease Control (NDC), which was organised virtually by the NDC Secretariat of the World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe on 26 July 2024.

The meeting aimed to discuss the work plan, agree on immediate actions and outline the next steps for launching collaborative surveillance efforts for disease control within the next three months.

During the meeting, the Secretariat explained the structure of the Working Group and outlined the roles and responsibilities of the Secretariat. The meeting also focused on understanding the WG's current actions and plans to explore strategies to guide and manage the WG’s work moving forward effectively. The discussion included brainstorming about the WG’s activities and the concept of collaborative surveillance, and proposals of tasks for the upcoming months along with the deliverables.
