SESRIC hosted a group of 15 students from 9 OIC Member Countries, currently studying at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazit University (AYBU). The Centre regularly welcomes groups of university students to enrich their understanding of the activities of SESRIC in statistics, research, and training, and contribution of SESRIC to the socio-economic development of the member countries.

Mr. Mazhar HUSSAIN, Director of Economic and Social Research Department, welcomed the students and provided insights into the activities of the OIC in general and SESRIC in particular. This was followed by a comprehensive presentation on the OIC system and activities of SESRIC. During the presentation, SESRIC Emerging Talents Capacity Building (SET-CAB) Programme has also been introduced, offering a valuable opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals of the Centre from various fields, thereby enhancing their skills and knowledge. The presentation was concluded with a Q&A session.

The group of students from AYBU thanked SESRIC for the warm welcome and expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to learn more about the OIC and SESRIC.
