Webinar on ‘Fostering Collaboration between Private and Public Sectors towards Efficient TVET Systems’

Within the framework of the Vocational Education and Training Programme for the Member Countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC-VET) and in line with the OIC-TVET Strategic Roadmap 2020-2025, SESRIC, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education Malaysia, TVET Division, organised a Webinar on “Fostering Collaboration between Private and Public Sectors towards Efficient TVET Systems”.

The webinar brought together 74 experts from technical, vocational education, and relevant authorities of 20 OIC countries. The aim was to provide insights and a better understanding of the roles of stakeholders from the public and private sectors in the collaborative design, implementation, and maintenance of high-quality Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) systems. The webinar featured presentations by competent experts from the Ministry of Education of Malaysia.

Key topics covered during the webinar included:

  • Malaysia’s Experience in Public Private Partnership in TVET;
  • Crafting Curriculum That is in Sync With Industry Rhythm; and
  • Fostering Private Sector’s Confidence in Advancing TVET Education.
