During the 68^th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68) held in New York, H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK, Director General of SESRIC, met with H.E. Dr. Amal HAMAD, Minister of Women's Affairs of the State of Palestine. The discussion centered around SESRIC’s initiatives to support evidence-based research on women in Gaza and Palestine.

During the meeting, H.E. SELÇUK highlighted the importance of reliable data and analysis. She affirmed SESRIC’s commitment to provide technical assistance and expertise to enhance research capacities in the region.

H.E. Dr. Amal HAMAD highlighted the multifaceted challenges faced by women in Gaza and Palestine. These challenges encompass access to education, healthcare, economic opportunities, and the impact of occupation and displacement on their well-being.

The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to collaborate and explore opportunities for joint projects, capacity-building activities, and knowledge-sharing platforms to promote women’s empowerment in Palestine.
