H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK, Director General of SESRIC, came together with H.E. Ambassador Hameed Ajibaiye OPELOYERU, the Permanent Observer of the OIC at the United Nations, on the sidelines of the 68^th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68) in New York.

Their discussion focused on advancing collaborative efforts in social development, emphasizing the ongoing partnership between SESRIC and the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC) within the UN-OIC cooperation framework. They stressed the importance of aligning efforts with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those addressing social inequality and empowerment.

The meeting concluded with both H.E. SELÇUK and H.E. OPELOYERU reiterating their dedication to advancing collaborative efforts in social development, recognizing the importance of collective action in addressing contemporary societal challenges in the OIC countries.
