Training Course on ‘Navigating the Audit Landscape of Public Private Partnerships (PPPs)’

Within the framework of SESRIC’s Public Audit Capacity Building Programme (PAU-CaB), SESRIC, in collaboration with the Turkish Court of Accounts (TCA), organised a training course on “Navigating the Audit Landscape of Public Private Partnerships (PPPs)” on 27-28 March 2024 through an online video conferencing platform.

The training course was provided by Dr. Ismail Cengiz EREK, Head of Group 9 at the TCA, for the benefit of 114 experts and executives from the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) as well as the relevant Ministries and national institutions in 17 OIC countries.

The following topics were covered during the two days of the training:

  • New Approaches in the Delivery of Public Services and the Development of the PPPs Model
  • Fundamentals and Distinctive Features of the PPPs Model
  • Accountability Issues Arising from PPPs Projects and the Role of SAIs
  • Auditing of PPPs Projects: INTOSAI Standards and Guidance
  • Main Approaches in Executing an Audit at Each Stage of the PPPs Process
  • Main Issues to be Considered in the Auditing of PPPs Projects and Some Suggestions
