SESRIC and University of Management and Technology (UMT) in Pakistan Sign an MoU to Strengthen Partnership and Cooperation

SESRIC and the University of Management and Technology (UMT) in Pakistan solidified their collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing partnership and cooperation. The agreement focuses on areas of common interest within SESRIC's relevant capacity-building programs and the Vocational Education and Training Programme for OIC member countries (OIC-VET).

The MoU, signed by H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK and H.E. Dr. Asif RAZA, Rector of UMT, on 16 January 16, during the Coordination Meeting of OIC Islamic Universities (IUCM) and relevant national institutions in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, underscores a shared vision to strengthen the institutional and human capacities of relevant national institutions in member countries.

This collaboration is expected to yield a productive partnership between SESRIC and UMT, fostering knowledge exchange, joint projects, and capacity-building initiatives. These efforts will be directed towards addressing prevalent issues in areas such as environmental awareness, climate change, Islamic economics, finance, and Islamic financial instruments.

By formalizing this MoU, SESRIC and UMT express their readiness to leverage collective expertise and resources. Their joint initiatives aim to make a significant impact, aligning with the overarching goal of socioeconomic development in OIC member countries. This signing ceremony marks a commitment to advancing mutual interests and contributing to the development and progress of OIC member countries.
