SESRIC, under its Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, conducted a virtual Training Course on ‘SDG 13 (Climate Action) Indicators’ on 19-20 December 2023, in collaboration with the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) and the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO). 40 participants from the National Statistical Offices (NSOs) and relevant Ministries of 24 OIC member countries actively participated in the training course.

The training course was conducted by Mr. Hazman Abu YAZID, Assistant Director, and Mrs. Latifah Mohamed SHAH, Senior Assistant Director, both from the Agriculture and Environment Statistics Division at the DOSM. They covered the following topics during the session:

  • Concepts and Definitions
  • Methodology
  • Data Sources
• The Availability of Malaysia’s SDG 13 Indicators
• Climate Action Agenda
