SESRIC and the Social Security Organisation (SOCSO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen partnership and cooperation between the two institutions in the area of social security and public employment services.

The MoU was signed by H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK and H.E. Dato' Sri Dr. Mohammed Azman Bin Dato' AZIZ MOHAMMED, Chief Executive of SOCSO, on 11 October 2023 after the opening session of the International Public Employment Forum (IPEF) 2023.

The MoU offers a framework for collaboration that intends to facilitate the two institutions working together in areas of common interest in order to accomplish their joint goals and carry out cooperation activities for the benefit of OIC countries.

The signing ceremony underscored a shared vision of enhancing social security systems and fostering resilient labour markets in the member countries. This MoU is expected to lead to a fruitful collaboration between SESRIC and SOCSO, facilitating knowledge exchange, joint projects, and capacity-building initiatives aimed at addressing the prevailing challenges in the domain of social security and employment.

By entering into this MoU, both SESRIC and SOCSO demonstrate a strong commitment towards leveraging their collective expertise and resources to drive impactful initiatives that resonate with the overarching goal of socioeconomic development in the OIC region. The synergy from this partnership is anticipated to significantly contribute to the improvement of social security infrastructures and employment landscapes, paving the way for a more inclusive and economically stable community across member countries.
