Training Course on ‘Implementation Framework and Monitoring System for SDG 3 and Other Health Goals in the SDGs’

Within the framework of its Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC organised a Training Course on ‘Implementation Framework and Monitoring System for SDG 3 and Other Health Goals in the SDGs’ with the attendance of 10 participants from the National Statistical Offices (NSOs) of 4 French speaking OIC countries on 25-26 September 2023 through an online video conferencing platform.

Mr. Jilali CHARROUK, Head of Unit of Health and Nutrition in Planning Directorate of the High Commission for Planning (HCP) of Morocco, conducted the course and covered the following topics:

  • Health in SDGs
    • Interconnections between health and other aspects of sustainable development, comprehensive overview of SDG 3 and its links with the other SDGs
    • Multisector collaboration from a public health perspective: the systems approach and health in all policies as a public policy approach and framework for action
  • Monitoring the implementation of SDG 3
    • Reporting process: voluntary national reports and status of SDG 3 implementation
    • SDG 3: targets, indicators and measurement methodologies
  • Moroccan Experiences in SDG 3 monitoring
