Training Course on 'Islamic Banking and Diversification of Islamic Financial Instruments'

Training Within the framework of the Central Banks Capacity Building Programme (CB-CaB), SESRIC organised a training course on “Islamic Banking and Diversification of Islamic Financial Instruments” on 13-17 July 2020.

The course was conducted through a video conferencing platform and applied interactive learning approaches for the benefit of 24 experts and executives from the Central Banks of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Kazakhstan. The training course was provided by a competent expert from Bank Indonesia.

The course provided insights into the fundamentals of Islamic finance, its principles and methodologies. Participants had a better understanding of different types of Islamic financial instruments, their features, differences, level of profitability and risk. Furthermore, they benefited from Bank Indonesia’s extensive expertise in the field of Islamic Banking.

This advance training was designed in line with the virtual training solutions undertaken by SESRIC in order to better serve the Centre’s training activities and keep participants motivated and engaged during this time of global crisis due to COVID-19.
