Training Course on 'Food Safety Analysis'

Within the framework of SESRIC’s OIC Agriculture Capacity Building Programme (OIC-AgriCaB), SESRIC organized a training course on “Food Safety Analysis” on 10-14 August 2020 for the benefit of participants from the Ministry of Fisheries, Marine Resources and Agriculture of the Republic of Maldives (MFMRA) and Maldives Food and Drug Authority (MFDA).

The training course was delivered by a competent expert from the Ministry of Health Malaysia and conducted through a video conferencing platform which provided an interactive learning environment and opportunity for the participants. The course provided insights into risk analysis components and assessment methods used in the field to develop effective national food safety programmes and strengthen the existing food control system.

The training course was designed in line with the virtual training solutions undertaken by SESRIC in order to better serve utilization of the Centre’s training activities and keep participants motivated and engaged during this time of global crisis due to COVID-19.
