H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Ambassador Majid Abdul Ridha Hassan Al-LACHMAWI, Ambassador of Iraq in Ankara, to discuss opportunities for strengthening cooperation between SESRIC and Iraq.

The discussions focused on enhancing collaboration through capacity-building initiatives and joint activities in areas of mutual interest, with particular emphasis on strengthening the institutional capacities of Iraq's relevant national institutions. In this context, the meeting highlighted SESRIC's ongoing contribution to capacity development in Iraq. To date, SESRIC has organised more than 178 capacity-building activities benefiting Iraqi national institutions, reflecting its continued commitment to supporting knowledge sharing, institutional development and technical cooperation.
