The Palestinian cause has been at the core of the OIC and its institutions. Being the main strategy document of the OIC, the OIC-2025 Programme of Action (PoA) identifies 18 priority areas. Priority Area 1 of the OIC-PoA 2025 states that “The Palestine issue remains the most prominent political challenge at both the regional and international levels. Indeed Israel, the occupying power, persists in defying the will of the international community through its forceful occupation of Palestine and Arab territories since 4th June 1967, and violating international law, international conventions and UN Resolutions”.

The Israeli occupation of Palestine and genocide against Palestinians have claimed thousands of innocent lives, stolen their futures, demolished cities, and consequently destroyed public infrastructure and impacted the provision of government services across all sectors. In this connection, rebuilding Palestine stands as the main area for cooperation.

Against this background, SESRIC’s Palestine National Institutions Capacity Building Programme (PALESTINE-CaB) aims to enhance the capacity of Palestinian national institutions through training activities geared towards expertise and knowledge exchange by following South-South and Triangular Cooperation modalities.
