Workshop on ‘International Forced Migration: Challenges and Opportunities’

SESRIC, in collaboration with the Turkish Red Crescent Youth, Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Greater Municipality of Ankara and Migration Policy Application and Research Center, organised a workshop on “International Forced Migration: Challenges and Opportunities” on 15-17 December 2018 in Ankara, Turkey.

The workshop provided a platform to share experiences and ideas. It analyzed the phenomenon of international forced migration, challenges, opportunities, the nature of forced migration, and examined as well the policy responses and its impacts on the migrants and hosting countries.

The Workshop also discussed the effects of international forced migration on immigration management, social cohesion, education, health, labour and housing among others.
