Statistics Course on ‘Sustainable Development Statistics’ in Somalia

In accordance with its 2018 Annual Work Plan and within the framework of Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC organised the Statistics Course on ‘Sustainable Development Statistics’ at the Directorate of National Statistics (DNS), Ministry of Planning, Investment and Economic Development of Somalia on 4-6 March 2019, with the participation of 42 officials of DNS of Somalia.

Mr. Thomas Rutaro, Senior Officer - Standards at the Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS), conducted the Statistics Course.

The Statistics Course on ‘Sustainable Development Statistics’ included practical sessions and discussion activities with a focus on the following topics:

  • Domestication of SDGs – Case Study Uganda
