Training Course on 'Agriculture Statistics (Animal Husbandry)' in Bangladesh

In accordance with its 2014 Annual Work Plan, SESRIC organised the Training Course on 'Agriculture Statistics (Animal Husbandry)' on 23-24 December 2014 at the premises of the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) in Dhaka, Bangladesh, within the framework of the Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme. The course was provided by Ms. Hasnizar Nasution, an expert of BPS-Statistics Indonesia, and was attended by relevant officials of the BBS.

As defined in the Classification of Statistical Activities (CSA Rev. 1 - October 2009); agriculture statistics includes all agriculture, forestry and fishery related
statistics, e.g. agricultural monetary statistics trade in agricultural products, agricultural labour input, animal fishing and forestry, products source and use tables, forest and forest product statistics, forest resource assessment and forest fire, trade in forest products, fisheries.
